ABOUT ALLIE VANVONDEREN

"Allie is a very skilled and effective guard. She has the ability to score from beyond the arc and has a knack for getting to the paint and finishing through contact. She has a great reach on her finish and a bag full of alternative touches that allow her to score around longer and taller defenders. She is a player that I have relied on to lead on both sides of the floor, and a player that I have needed out there in the final seconds to come up with a big shot or a game-closing stop. Allie has a great motor and is constantly giving everything she has on defense. She is very effective at holding her defenders, executing defensive protocols, and avoiding fouls while still maintaining tight defense and forcing her opponents into bad decisions. She is coachable and is constantly pushing herself to do better and advance her game. She has a natural love for the game that allows her to develop when no one is watching. First and foremost she wants the team to win and compete at their best, and she accepts whatever role that is needed from her to make that happen."

- Ally Gwidt, Wisconsin Blaze 16u Inferno 2024 Head Coach

FROM THE DESK OF ALLIE

"Stepping onto the court excites me, especially being able to play in front of all the fans that share the same love for the game as I do. I am passionate about the game and am eager to take my skills to the next level. My goals for my basketball career are to continue to put in the work to grow and develop all parts of my game and to always give 100%. My strengths on offense are driving to the rim, finishing strong, and shooting. Defense is one of my main strengths, I am able to anticipate the offensive players' next move and force them to give up the ball. I am a coachable player and someone that is always doing what I can to continue to improve. I value getting feedback from coaches on skills that I can continue to improve on. I am looking for a program that values hard work and supports my growth both as an athlete and a person and also a coach that is supportive and shares the same passion for the game as I do."
