BASKETBALL RECRUITING

Blaze has helped place over 40 athletes in college programs ranging from NCAA Division 1 through Division 3 to NAIA and NJCAA. We want you to be next!

Beginning in 2017, the NCAA made it mandatory that all individuals who participate in an NCAA certified event must go through an online process in order to play in a certified event. If you are. not sure if you should do this, please ask your Coach. NCAA Certified events allow Division 1 coaches entry into that event during designated "evaluation periods." Our Blaze Director must send our rosters from the NCAA BBCS system to the NCAA Certified event director. Coaches will NOT be able to add your athlete onto this roster unless your athlete completes all the steps below.

If you are attending an NCAA Exposure event during your season, please follow the steps below. If you are unsure check with your Director. All High School Blaze teams typically attend 2-4 NCAA certified events per season. NCAA will host athlete education sessions to explain why this is part of the process and walk you through enrolling. You can find more basketball certification help at Basketball Certification Education page (look to the right of the page under announcements).

To Complete your BBCS Certification, follow the steps below:

Log into Your BBCS Account

NEW ATHLETES should create a New User BBCS account.

RETURNING ATHLETES should RENEW their previously created BBCS account and NOT create a new account.

This is done by logging in to their existing account and updating the information on their profile rather than selecting Register as a New User button.

Specific questions will be asked; all questions must be answered

Videos will need to be watched; all videos must be watched all the way through

After you register, your Director will manually invite everyone to our "bench."

Do not email your Director that you have completed your registration. If you are complete we will see that upon this next step.

We will let you know when we push out invites to join our Blaze "bench."

Accept the invite - See "Responding to Bench Invitations in ECAG manual"

Blaze will then be able to go back into BBCS and add your athlete to the appropriate NCAA/BBCS roster.

Compete at an NCAA Certified event

When you check-in at an NCAA event you will only be on the team roster if you have completed the steps above by the dates your Director set.

Complete it to compete in it.

If this process is not complete, you will not be able to compete.

Every 14u and older High School athlete should create a Twitter X profile and follow Wisconsin Blaze Basketball. We will then follow you. This will allow us to track your accomplishments when you tweet them, and the college coaches following us will see them! This gains you more exposure on the recruiting journey. A Great Twitter bio profile will include the following types of details:

Your Wisconsin Blaze program provides access to our Sports Recruits platform for college coaches to search for you. Your Blaze Director will invite the our HS teams from the Blaze Boys and Girls Basketball and Volleyball programs to set up their recruiting accounts.
Please check your email for the invitation and complete your profile today, and continue to update it with current information and video highlights, as well as use it to search for and tag college programs you would be interested in competing for, and attending the university academically.

High School Blaze athletes NEED GAME VIDEO for coaches to make an initial assessment of the athlete's ability. Wisconsin Blaze provides FREE recruiting opportunities to our High School athletes. We provide a video taping platform through Hudl and a recruiting platform through Sports Recruits for the top two teams in our Boys and Girls Basketball and Volleyball programs. You should use any opportunity your high school or club team provides you to make highlights and full game film readily available for college coaches.
