PARENT BOOT CAMP

November 23rd | 4:00-5:30pm

Join the first WI Blaze Volleyball Parent Bootcamp! This event is open to any of our club volleyball parents who are new to the game or would just like to learn more. This is an interactive camp where parents will be the student/player for the session. The session will include the basics in passing, setting, hitting, blocking/defense. We will also go over court rotations and position strategies. The last part of the session will be open for parents to play against each other and use their new training in a game situation.

TRYOUT REGISTRATION STEPS

Please follow these three steps to complete your tryout registration.

1. Review Team Fees for the upcoming season (in the Tryout folder)

2. Complete Blaze Tryout Payment ($35)

3. Purchase Badger Region Tryout Membership (Opens June 3rd)

24-25 Badger Tryout Membership – $10, valid through 12/31/24. This membership allows only for participation in Region sanctioned club volleyball tryouts. It does not allow for participation in other region sanctioned events (tune-ups, practices, competitions, camps, clinics, etc.) or in USAV bid tournaments or USAV junior nationals. This membership can be upgraded to a full membership (for an additional $45) at a later time.

REMINDER: PARENTS WILL NEED A SPORTS ENGINE ACCOUNT ESTABLISHED IN THEIR NAME BEFORE PURCHASING A MEMBERSHIP FOR THEIR ATHLETES. A PROFILE WILL BE CREATED FOR THE ATHLETE DURING THE PURCHASE PROCESS. DO NOT PURCHASE A JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP AS AN ADULT.

We will not keep a copy of your membership card; but we must see the membership card to verify you have a tryout membership when you attend tryouts.

Badger Region is the Wisconsin chapter of the National USA Volleyball organization. All clubs and club members must join this organization in order to participate in Badger Region and USAV sanctioned tournaments.

JOINING A CLUB TEAM

Joining a Club Volleyball team can be a bit hectic or confusing - especially if you're new to Club Volleyball.

Here are 6 easy steps to help you navigate the process.

1. Identify Clubs In Your Area
Depending on where you are from, you might have a number of club options to choose from. If you are a girl, click here to view club options. If you are a boy, click here to view club options.

2. Determine Your Age Division
When trying out for a club team, you need to know which age division you belong to since all teams are based on age. Click here to figure out which age division you need to tryout for this season.

3. Do Your Research
We strongly recommend looking over our tried-and-true tips on choosing a club. Club volleyball is a commitment of both time and money. It is important to consider all of your options before diving in head first. Each club offers something a little bit different. Doing your research is an important step in finding a club that provides a good fit for your player.

4. Tryout, Tryout, Tryout
You will (probably) need to attend a tryout once you have decided which club teams you are interested in playing for. Since there are no guarantees you will be offered a spot, try out for several programs if possible. You need to be a member of Badger Region/USAV to tryout for or play with a club. If you are not already a member, click here to register for our junior tryout membership or full junior membership. Please note that since each club is an independently run business, you will also need to sign up with the club to attend their tryout.

5. Accept An Offer
You can tryout for as many clubs as you want, but you can only play for one club each season. After being offered a spot on a team, you will have a set amount of time to decide whether or not you want to accept it. Click here for this season’s tryout and commitment date policy as it changes each year and all clubs must abide by it. Once again, we stress doing your research BEFOREHAND so you know what you are getting into. To officially accept an offer, you must open your SportsEngine account and select the club.

6. Become A Full Badger Region Member
A player must have a full junior membership to play with a junior club team during the season. If you registered for a tryout membership, click here to upgrade it to a full junior membership. If you registered for a full junior membership, you are set!

Badger Region Volleyball Tryout Forms

2024-25 TRYOUT/COMMITMENT DATES:

Retention will open July 1, 2024, for the 2024-25 season
The last day of the 2024 USA Volleyball GJNC / BJNC will be July 11.
The last day a retention offer can be signed will be July 18.
The first allowed dates for tryouts (any age or gender) will be July 20, 2024
The first commitment date will be Aug. 1. Any offers made after this date are at the discretion of the club.
The last allowed date of summer tryouts will be Aug. 18.
WIAA (high school) season starts Aug. 19
Fall tryouts can start Oct. 5 for 14-and-under (Commitment date: 7 p.m. Oct.7)
Fall tryouts can start Nov. 16 for 15-and-older (Commitment date: 7 p.m. Nov. 18)
